I can't believe

I cannot believe that my last post was almost a year (eternity) ago. Our guys returned to the US in October of 2006. We still have friends over there. We continue to pray for the women and men who serve. My husband and I are getting back to normal (after a few months of not getting back to normal :) ). Returning is tough- and as you pray for safety of those over there, pray for those who do return and have the trials of coming home. And of course for those who don't return. I cannot even imagine not having Lee here. As hard as it was to get back into our life routine, it would never compare to not ever getting the chance to return to our life as it was before. God - continue to bless those who serve and the families and friends who love them. May their strength be more than enough.

OK i'm back

Ok with ball season over it is time I no longer make excuses for not posting. Time is drawing near that we can start counting the days - and no - i haven't been counting the days- not yet.
The timeline is in the works however and the RUMOR is that September might bring in our guys from the sand. It is unreal how quickly this has passed for me.
At the same time I realize that it is not the same for the guys who are not always busy like we are back home. So they continue to need prayer; especially for endurance. Endurance for their physical and emotional well being.
I want to encourage everyone if you have not contacted these guys recently - NOW is the time to do it. This is probably the hardest time for them. They aren't gonna tell just anyone that - but if you are married to one- you will hear about it. If you are a mother of one then you hear it in their voice. Do not let these guys down.
Please pray for them:
The Lord gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

note from Lee

Hey Everybody,
I guess these general e-mails to everyone are becoming more of a neccesity than I would like. I've been back from leave for nearly a month and have settled back into life at Taji. Things are a little different than when I left though. For starters, when I got back I found out that the internet service in my barracks went down about the same time I went on leave and still was not back up. It only came back up about a week and a half ago, so I am playing catch-up on my e-mails in between the commo blackouts. The other big change is that I have been re-assigned to one of our line platoons (couldn't hack it in the office) so I am regularly going on missions. This is not necessarily bad news but it does change my day to day routine.
Everything else is about the same except the weather is starting to warm up. The heat is not unbearable yet but its already in the high 90's and only gonna get hotter. The good news is everybody is doing well and we are halfway there. Thank you all for your e-mails, letters, thoughts & prayers. I miss you all. Take care and I'll talk to you all soon.
Love You All,
Lee

Lee's Visit

I wanted to share some smiles with everyone. This is from the day that Lee left to return to Iraq. I hope this will ease some minds that through the sadness of the day- we know that this was the last time we would have to say goodbye to him. Only with the strength of Jesus have we made it this far, and he will make good on his promises til the end of this. You never know how precious one day is until you only have 14 out of one year to spend with the one person that you love the most. We love you Lee. Please pray for these guys as they travel and have to return.

Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
